Responsibilities |
1.Source, evaluate and qualify new suppliers to develop regional worldclass supplier base in Asia. 2.Set and meet cost containment/ reduction targets by pursuing opportunities through alternate sourcing, design improvements & benchmarking. 3.Manage supplier base to ensure quality level and cost improvement. 4.Resourcing of parts for product transfer/NPI. 5.Manage sourcing process from quote pack preparation, review of technical & commercial matters, negotiations with suppliers and final selection. 6.Supports Production & Material Management teams to achieve optimum inventory level. 7.Coordinate with R&D/Product engineers with product transfers and new product developments. 8.Coordinate with all A/P manufacturing sites to consolidate and optimize pricing on direct materials. 9.Develop strategies in conjunction with other world area procurement organizations to maximise the use of AP low cost suppliers. |
Requirements |
1.Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science 2.5 years experience in Procurement/ Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment 3.Preferably with experience in Material Management 4.Good knowledge of castings/ forging/ metal fabrication 5.Possess good analytical & negotiation skill 6.Familiar with commercial terms and conditions 7.Excellent interpersonal & communication skills 8.People management skill required 9.Strong Project Management Skills and expereicen in NPI/Product transfer projects |
