| Responsibilities |
1. Strategic Supplier management to meet materials availability & Commodity inventory cost objectives· Develop strategies in conjunction with WW commodity manager in managing and developing AP suppliers tomeet commodity objectives and to develop a world-class supplier base in Asia.· Work with WW commodity manager and suppliers on risk management to ensure short and long termmaterials availability to world wide manufacturing sites· Monitor supplier capacity to ensure materials availability WW· Work with suppliers to implement program to improve lead-time, flexibility WW manufacturing sites· Maintain supplier tool log for WW manufacturing sites· Work with suppliers to develop action plan to improve QP/DP for WW manufacturing sites· Develop with other world area procurement organizations to realize and maximize the advantages of AP lowcost suppliers.· Establish and meet cost containment/ cost reduction targets by pursuing opportunities through alternatesourcing, design improvements & benchmarking.· Manage existing Asia supplier base to ensure quality levels and continued cost improvement objectives aremaintained.· Identify new sources for components supporting product line transfers and new products.· Manage the overall sourcing process from quote pack preparation, review of technical & commercial matters,negotiations with suppliers and final selection.· Support Production and Materials Management Teams to insure optimum inventory levels are achieved.· Coordinate with R&D/Product engineers regarding requirements for product transfers and new productdevelopments.· Coordinate with all A/P manufacturing sites to consolidate and optimize pricing on direct materials.2. Support Global Strategic Sourcing Objectives· Participate and jointly develop strategic commodity plans with WW Strategic Commodity Managers· Support and implement global commodity strategic sourcing programs· Identify, evaluate, select, and qualify new suppliers· Approve first article evaluation · Develop knowledge of regional suppliers and market intelligence to support WW on global sourcing optimization · Negotiate with existing/potential suppliers, when delegated/ empowered by commodity manager, for best cost, payment term, lead-time, terms/conditions, etc · Work with suppliers to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities or total cost improvements · Perform value analysis on total logistic cost and improve on it · Constantly identify cost improvement opportunities (part standardisation, supplier consolidation, LTA, etc) and implement projects to achieve them · Work with WW commodity manager to set and implement the Inflation cost containment goals · Perform market analysis (market/supply trends, materials forecasting, commodity analysis) and work with WW commodity manager to take action to improve company competiveness in the industry. 3. Provide technical expertise in the development or improvement of Products / processes / materials specifications · Review and co-ordinate, with suppliers and internal design/manufacturing groups to make changes to designs, processes, materials specifications to improve cost, productivity, product manufacturability and quality · Identify, research, and implement new materials, technologies, processes, to support materials and product development · Company expert on assigned commodity. Conducts commodity specific competitor and industry analysis to identify cost, materials selection, manufacturing techniques and materials sourcing to improve the company’s competitive position· |
| Requirements |
Qualifications /Experience 资格及经验要求· Degree in relevant discipline preferably Engineering and with minimum 6 years relevant experience· Diploma in Engineering preferably with 10 years relevant experience· MRP Knowledge· Good Communication Skill/Verbal & Written· Office Software Application Skills:Spreadsheets, WORDS for Windows, CC Mail, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project· Knowledge of SPC tools and process improvement· Knowledge of ISO 9002 Quality System · Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Toleranc |
