Responsibilities |
·Creation and Maintenance of Budgets in support of Production and Cost goals in the factory to insure that all Budgetary and Performance issues are addressed.
·Insures development of Manufacturing and Quality assurance tools required to support the Overall Production Operations, interacting with other departments.
·Directs the Global Training and Development of Employees.
·Provides leadership in developing overall Training plans, working with other Managers, Product, Production and Quality Engineers in a collaborative Team environment.
·Provides vision and leadership, in directing Team activities in support of Deere Production System, with emphasis on Quality, Lean Manufacturing, Mistake Proofing, and Continuous Improvement activities.
·Works with Product, Production and Quality Engineers proactively resolving Quality issues. Active participant in the NCAA and other corrective action processes.
·Active Team participant in developing Continuous Improvement Programs.
·Develops Budgets and control plans.
·Maintains Product costing processes.
·Supports Maintenance activities, providing Machine availability.
·Provides active support and direction for Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM).
·Trains others in Departmental Operational Objectives and Goals.
·Provides Managerial support for Quality or Maintenance when needed. |
Requirements |
1 Knowledge of Supervisory skills and techniques, in various operational environments. 2 Knowledge of standard Quality tools such as PFMEA,SPC,Root Cause Analysis, and basic Statistics. 3 Knowledge of Manufacturing processes, Quality, Tooling, Tool Design, Total Preventative Maintenance and Facilities. 4 Knowledge of Accounting Systems, Tools and Databases. 5 Degree in a Management discipline, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree. 6 Experience in use of Statistical tools & Techniques for Quality - 5 years. 7 Experience in Fixture design – minimum 3 years. 8 Experience in CNC Programming – minimum 3 years |
