Responsibilities |
MAJOR PURPOSE: Supervises supply management/logistics personnel to ensure supply management processes and strategies are implemented to meet cost, schedule, quality and delivery goals to support operations. Typically supervises up to 7 people (such as planners, logistics analysts, inventory control analysts, data coordinators, etc.) who perform primarily tactical supply management functions. MAJOR DUTIES: Description of the major duties performed in this job. * Mix of Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) or Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), dependant on assignment. * Performs administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, resource planning, training, and development of direct reports. * Develops and manages budgets. * Focuses on the supply management sub processes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of material, conformance to Achieving Excellence and cost-reduction goals to support operations as well as introduction of new products. Monitors and executes inventory project plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals. * May participate or help to define or plan larger projects or lead smaller projects to meet Unit business objectives. * Typically supports one assembly and/or primary operation. * Typically focuses on the products produced in one assembly, primary operation or functional factory area. |
