| Responsibilities |
1. Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing the comprehensive budget for Logistics, including headcount, operating and admin expenses and material costs according to the annual strategic plan
Responsible for material planning and ordering in accordance with the agreed overall production plan of SETL to meet the demand of the sales plan
Assessing and optimizing material purchasing taking into account production demands, supplier lead times, inventory turnover and cash flow
Receiving the BOM, technical documentation and specifications from PPC related to the materials to be ordered
Selecting and qualifying vendors
Ordering material from qualified suppliers for timely delivery to the SETL warehouses
Expediting materials from suppliers to avoid additional costs e.g. airfreight
Responsible for all aspects of import/export of materials including freight, customs clearance, import duties
Interfacing with SEL India and Europe for delivery of globally sourced items within the terms of global agreements and/or internal service agreements
Preparation of regular reports in agreement with general management that demonstrate achievement of the agreed objectives, including but not limited to; delivery of materials, materials costs, quality, budget, headcount
Development of material cost optimization programmes to increase localization and reduce costs
Training and skill levels of all staff in the Logistics organization to meet the demands of quality, safety and delivery of materials on time and within budget
Materials support to the Warranty and Service teams at the end user sites as required by the transfer price agreement
Preparation and ordering of materials for commissioning and OMS spares

IT – IT and communication services
QES – QMS, environmental policy, safety policy, vendor qualification
Finance – cost control, budget, expenses
WTG/CPU – delivery of materials and planning, NCR/ECN process
Composite – delivery of materials and planning, NCR/ECN process
- External:
· SETL BJ – delivery of materials and spares
· SEL – technology and global agreement support
· AERT – technology
· Suppliers
· Government bureaus related to import/export |
| Requirements |
1. Requirement & Qualifications:
· University qualification in related field
2. Competency/Knowledge/Skills
· Solid experience in materials and logistics management
· Competency to manage logistics for heavy electro-mechanical equipment manufacturing with complex bill of materials
· Understanding of the principles of lean production
· Strong motivational, leadership and team building skills
· Familiar with import/export logistics
3. Work Experiences:
· Minimum of five years experience in logistics management role with annual material turnover >RMB500million |
