Responsibilities |
REPORTS TO: Deputy General Manager, Greater China JOB SUMMARY: The senior manager for Information Technology role is responsible for effectively managing the company's Logistics technology and communications platforms for the Greater China Region as well as coordinating with global information technology team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 1. Manage implementation of new third party Transportation Management System and Warehouse management system in 2011. 2. Manage and lead technology associates located in China and/or manage service firms providing technology services. Lead I.T. service team for desktop and software support. 3. Lead hardware and infrastructure development and maintenance in accordance with local solutions and global requirements. 4. Lead technology related to equipment in the logistics industry including but not limited to GPS, RIFD, tractors, forklifts, and related asset management tools. 5. Assure the appropriate analysis, selection and use of cost effective technology assets which best meet Schneider Logistics needs. 6. Analyze business requirements, determines alternatives and makes suggestions for the design and implementation of the requirements. 7. Assist and support other key leaders in general management of the company. |
Requirements |
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field preferred. Master’s degree strongly preferred 2. 7 to 10 years experience with Information Technology related field with logistics experience required. Experience with V-Trade, Flux and Oracle systems strongly desired. 3. Highest level of integrity and professional ethics required. Significant experience with implementation and project management 4. Ability to speak fluently in both Mandarin and English. 5. Ability to concurrently manage large, complex projects utilizing appropriate resources to meet customer expectations. 6. Experience with cost controls and cost/benefit analysis. 7. Proven ability to accept great responsibility and to influence outcomes with little explicit authority. 8. Highly developed interpersonal skills and presentation skills. 9. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 10. Ability to effectively lead people in a multi-cultural environment including technical professionals. 11. Strong planning, organization and problem analysis skills. The package is open. |
