Responsibilities |
MAJOR PURPOSE: Primary person responsible for the safety, health and environmental programs/processes and compliance in a medium to large unit. May supervise a small team. Develops programs which identify and reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards and ensures they are implemented. . Provides direction to staff and line management for establishing and sustaining the safety and environmental culture of the unit/company. Aids operating management in attaining safety, health and environmental goals and objectives as well as regulatory compliance requirements of the unit/company. As appropriate, interacts with external agencies as the agent of the unit in both a strategic and tactical role. MAJOR DUTIES: Description of the major duties performed in this job. * Plans, designs, implements and evaluates safety and/or environmental standards and processes which enables the business to meet regulatory and company compliance requirements for maintaining a safe workplace. * Analyzes appropriate Environmental Health Safety (EHS) functional reporting metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. * Conducts safety and environmental audits and administers safety and environmental audit programs to evaluate effectiveness of safety and environmental processes, identify existing or potential risks and recommend corrective/preventive measures. * Serves as a resource and provides leadership to management and internal safety and health teams; acts as a liaison with external regulatory agencies, safety suppliers and other safety organizations. * Participates in the investigation and analysis of incidents and near miss incidents to determine root cause of each incident and the required corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence. * Establishes standards and methods of safety and/or environmental awareness education for all employees to assure understanding of required process activities, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance. * Reviews new products, equipment, processes and facilities for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards; making recommendations if necessary prior to introduction. |
Requirements |
1.5-8 years related experience in manufacturing field.
2. People management skill
3. Good English and computer skill
4. Bachelor degree or above, mechanical background preferred. |
