Summary
To manage / direct the team of manufacturing engineer who are supporting manufacturing processes. This will require strong background of manufacturing, process control and management skill. The ideal candidate would be required to hands-on implementation and improvement of automation processes and equipment for MMI products in Tianjin Facility. Provide necessary input and support for enhancement of processes on existing operations as well as automation equipment for current and future products. Lead and involved to monitor the yield, cycle time, down time whilst achieving product quality. Liaising effectively with manufacturing support to ensure improvements are implemented in a timely manner and agreed goals are achieved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead the manufacturing engineers to take charge of manufacturing process control and improvement by applying lean and 6 sigma methodologies.
· Lead the manufacturing engineers to take charge of equipment repair and maintenance by applying TPM methodology.
· Support in the new product/process design review. Oversee the manufacture and test of prototypes for customer evaluation of new products systems to support customer specifications, operations and technical marketing requirements.
· Provide input into product simplification and standardization and eliminate unprofitable process steps from the production line.
· Support the manufacturing engineers to generate, review and update the procedures, instructions or other documents in accordance with ISO 9000 quality system requirements and other management system.
· Support the manufacturing engineers to provide systematic training program regarding process control and machine maintenance to production staff.
· Works with Quality Control to establish accept/reject criteria for new and existing products.
· Other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications & Skills

· Demonstrated working knowledge of ISO9001 /ISO14001 /ISO18000 systems.
· Three years of management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment。
· Three years of management experience in a leadership role with personnel and budgetary responsibility.
· Familiarity with lasers, vision systems, and other automation equipment, preferred.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from engineers, managers and customers.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, evaluations and other similar papers.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical papers.
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of production processes and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
· Experienced in using of process control tools such as FMEA, Control Chart, Cpk Analysis.
· The understanding of electrical and mechanical control for automated manufacturing equipment, linear and rotational mechanisms, pneumatics and industry compliant safety devices is desired.
· Understanding of tooling, jigs and fixtures design.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
· Well understanding of lean six sigma methodology is preferred.
· Fluent in both oral and written English. Good communication and reporting skills.
· Fluent in MS office and CAD, MS Mail preferred.
· Undergraduate (4 year) degree in science, or above.
· Some travel required.
