Responsibilities |
Main responsibility Responsible for all aspects of safety and housekeeping within assigned area per Company policy. Responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards within assigned area. Responsible for ensuring maximum production within the parameters of high quality and safe practice. Ensures that Team Members are aware of and practice ISO 9001:2000 quality standards. Assigns specific tasks, as required, to ensure the most effective and efficient use of the Team Members in his/her area. Ensures that tools and materials essential for the performance of the work are readily available. Identifies and implements potential improvements to the operation or product under his/her control. Provides training and guidance to Team Members. Evaluates and reviews the work performance of all Team Members in assigned area. Assesses current and anticipated work volume to maintain proper manpower requirements. Cooperates with management of other departments to ensure that work flows in an orderly and productive manner. Maintains a working knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures. Identifies employee problems as they arise and deals with them in a fair and equitable manner. Keeps management informed of any potential problems in his/her area. Maintains comprehensible records to document the performance of his/her area of responsibility. Performs other assignments as directed. Main requirements: 3-6 years of assembly line supervisory experience; medium to heavy machinery preferred Knowledge of Lean and 5S principles with examples of process improvements they have personally contributed Good English speaking ability (CET 6) Able to physically work on the assembly line (for training in the US) and be hands on when directing operators when necessary Able to think critically to troubleshoot problems with a machine Knowledge of assembly tools Ability to coach and discipline when necessary Ability to manage multiple areas Passion for excellence Energy and dedication (Attitude is 60% of the battle) Good EHS knowledge to enforce safe practicesrequired. Proven record of successfully leading staff in a high volume, fast-paced environment required. strong (5-10 years) fabrication experience Ability to plan and organize projects. Must possess good communication and problem solving skills. Ability to provide hands-on technical support in a production environment. Knowledge of CFM, Pull Systems, Kaisen, Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, Just-in-time Techniques, time standards, ergonomics, EHS, ISO 9000, computer skills and manufacturing experience in assembly processes. |
