Responsibilities |
Description of the major duties performed in this job. . Manages and implements supply management activities to support Product Delivery Process projects and programs for product line(s) of responsibility. This includes activities such as global sourcing strategies, cost reduction, return & allowance, supplier warranty and managing scorecard metrics. The scope in dollar is typically less than $250M based on Total Product Line Direct material purchases. . Participates in the project planning process of new products and/or major improvements to existing products. Develops the project plan and leads the project team in executing that plan. Acquires a solid foundation in project management and experience in managing projects. Project plan developed by focusing on project definition, scope, business requirements, cost, completion dates, resource allocation, and quality/reliability. Uses risk management, communications strategies, etc. as part of managing to the success of projects. . Works closely with product engineering groups on new engineering requirements for given product line(s) to obtain the necessary and critical data for early supplier selection and supplier integration activities. . Interfaces with other Unit functional leaders (engineering, quality, marketing, etc) to gain alignment and support of key initiatives. . Works closely with cost management personnel to obtain component cost targets in support of the sourcing decision making process to ensure alignment with with product line cost targets. . Interfaces with other Unit(s) or Divisional Supply Management supervisors or managers to gain alignment in support of key initiatives. . Develops, tracks, and reports Unit or Divisional Supply Chain Integration (SCI) metrics to key stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals. . May provide work direction and assistance to a group of professional staff, which includes monitoring the progress towards department/project goals, ensuring appropriate resources are available to support division or enterprise initiatives, coaching, and performance management. |
Requirements |
1 Bachelor's degree in mechanical related field.
2.More than 5 years' experience in sourcing and procurement of direct production materials.
3. Project experience preferred.
4.Good communication in English.
5. Auto industry background preferred. |
