Responsibilities |
SUMMARY
Provides technical support for activities within the Facility and Maintenance Department related to maximizing equipment availability and reliability, reducing maintenance costs and improving efficiency through system and process implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain building and utilities system in good working condition to support manufacturing departments by identifying and actioning routine maintenance problems. Define problems and interface with necessary departments to ensure resolution. Follow up to guarantee that problem has been corrected to the satisfaction of all concerned.
Maintain all required contacts to keep abreast of developments in methods, equipment and other fields of possible value to the company. Investigates items of potential useful application to company operation and makes recommendations regarding adoption.
Participate in department cost savings programs and value analysis projects as directed.
Assist in identification, selection of capital equipment installation. Coordinate with all interfacing departments to ensure a timely installation.
Participate in special investigation projects in areas of machinery effectiveness, capital and expense budgets, and contracting versus in house work.
Develop comprehensive programs and reports.
Assist in coordinating and implementing ISO9001 standards within the maintenance of all appropriate machines at JLG.
Coordinate and implement OSHA standards into all machine installations and operations.
Lead and implement major machine and tool repairs to minimize machine and tool down time.
Monitor equipment conditions and performance to coordinate proactive repairs.
Evaluate condition of new and used equipment considered for purchase.
Report and control the energy consumption and cost, keep doing renovation project to contribute for cost reduction.
Keep good contact with local utilities provider and make sure the utilities supply stable.
Provide additional support as necessitated by department requirements. |

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree (BSME) with up to five (5) years experience in building system and machine tool repair OR an Associate’s Degree and five (5) years relative experience in the field of Maintenance Engineering in a manufacturing environment. Have safety production management experience. |
