Responsibilities |
-Implementation of Supplier Quality procedures, Global Supplier Quality Manual, Quality Improvement Tools and Purchasing procedures within the company's China organization. - Supplier Validation and Qualifying: - New and current suppliers: Suppliers Quality System Qualification. - To develop new suppliers and participate with Engineering in the evaluation and selection of alternative sources of supply. - Implementation of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new critical components. - Process Audit of Critical Components: scheduling, realization of Process Audits and monitoring of Quality Improvement Plans at suppliers to ensure that the serial production components will meet the company's specifications. -Product Validation of Critical and non Critical Components: Implement activities with suppliers to ensure that company's specifications and procedures are fully accomplished and quality of components is guaranteed. Define together with Engineering and suppliers the critical characteristics of the components and of the manufacturing processes. Components Approval: Ensure that Supplier Prototypes/First Samples are validated before the start of serial production. Components Approval of Engineering Changes and supplier process changes. - Supplier Performance Evaluation and monitoring: - To carry out periodical reviews with suppliers of the Quality and deliveries performance results. - Release periodical reports to the organization and monitor supplier performance results. - Lead and organize review meetings with the worst suppliers. - To fix performance targets with suppliers in accordance with the company's needs. - Launch and monitor Quality Improvement Plans with the worst suppliers. - Ensure the implementation of Quality tools at suppliers in order to reduce inspections at the company and eliminate the defective components at the suppliers and at the company plants. - Serial production components: To lead continuous improvement and problem solving activities with suppliers to ensure the implementation of containment actions, corrective and preventative actions at the supplier processes in order eliminate the defective components in serial production. - Leadership and organization of the Supplier Quality Team in China as well as management of the day to day activities. - Participation in Projects of new products, cost reductions, product improvement, contingency plans, etc. -Ensure safety and environmental requirements are complied by people in who organization. -Management and maintenance of documentation and databases related to suppliers quality issues. |
Requirements |
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Composite or Mechanical Engineering. - Additional education such as Master in Total Quality Management or other training courses in Quality, Purchasing, Technical and Management tools will be an asset. -Training, knowledge and expertise with castings, forgings steel fabricated and machined components, electrical components, electrical generators, electrical cabinets, transformers, etc. - A good technical knowledge of manufacturing processes is needed as well as strong technical background of mechanical and electrical technologies. - Ideal candidate will be self-confident and self starter, with good communication skills. Team working oriented with ability to coordinate activities. - Organized mind and able to work following company standards and procedures with capacity and ability to work in an organized manner within a fast growing market and under pressure. - Person with discipline, technical criteria to take decisions, highly motivated and available to travel extensively. |
