Responsibilities |
Main ResponsibilityProvides HR services demonstrating a high level of expertise in all of the following areas: Staffing, Manpower Planning, Recruitment, and Employment---Consults with hiring leaders on the appropriate staffing strategies; coordinates recruiting, screening, referral, selection and employment activities Compensation---Ensures consistent and equitable wage and salary administration (i.e. 6-month reviews, MAP participation, equity reviews); participates in market salary survey analysis to review competitiveness; designs and develops salary structures that meet the needs of the business; educates leaders on Woodward's pay for performance and market pay philosophy; effectively responds to inquiries from members. Role Management---Ensures consistent and equitable administration of job codes. Supports the global job code standardization process and ensures members are properly classified. Consults with leaders in the In-Series progression process to ensure members are fairly assessed and the process is adhered to. Member Appraisal Process---Provides support to the annual Member Appraisal Process; conducts training to site members and leaders; ensures adherence to the annual drumbeat and milestones; consults with leaders on completion of performance appraisals, compensation determination, development planning, etc. May be the site lead for driving the process at location. Performance Management and Termination Support---Assists leaders in analyzing complex performance issues and in developing effective strategies to overcome them; makes disciplinary recommendations that are fair and defensible; consults on the Member Appraisal Process to optimize member performance. Workforce Planning & Organizational Design---Identify and develop workforce planning strategies to support Woodward growth initiatives. May consult with clients to develop organizational structures that enhance company performance. Member Relations---Understand and resolve complex HR issues at the local level and interpret company policies. This includes assigned ethics investigations. Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity---Consults with leaders on AA goals and responsibilities; conducts targeted outreach with community-based organizations and recruiting sources. Investigates and resolves EEO issues/complaints. Work Force Management---Develop plans and provide implementation support for work force reduction programs. Member Development and Training---Provides support to leaders and members in the areas of member development and training. Supports the Global Training program. Talent Management---May assist leaders in the global talent assessment, succession planning, and development planning process designed to build current and future leaders. Leads or plays a key role on project teams linked to the execution of the Global Human Resources strategic plan. Supports the HR Manager/Site Leader in the design, development, and implementation of the 3-5 year strategic HR plans (taken from the top level strategy) for their respective client groups. |
Requirements |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficient in all areas of Human Resources: Espcially in ER and C&B.Strong client focus, communication, influencing skills; ability to collaborate and influence within client group. Proven ability to work in a team-based environment Strong ability to plan, organize and manage a heavy workload Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues without detailed instruction or procedural guidance Strong understanding of applicable laws and regulations, Woodward policies and practices Solid written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills Ability to drive for results Practical and results-oriented; ability to be effective within a matrix structure A person of unquestionable honesty and integrity; demonstrate an outstanding work ethic Education or Formal Training Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience required; or relevant professional qualification (outside the US). Experience Required Minimum 5 years progressively responsible professional HR Generalist experience |
