Responsibilities |
Leads implementation of supplier quality management strategies · Supports the Sourcing Team for potential supplier survey, assessment and qualification · Audits and qualifies potential suppliers as per John Deere quality requirements (JDS-G223) · Coordinates and manages quality aspect of sample parts approval process, including DPAR, ISIR, PPAP, Testing, Packaging and Production Ramp-Up. · Drives continuous improvement and coordinates supplier non-conforming corrective actions (NCCA). · Leads Value Improvement (VI) and other supplier development activities. · Monitors measures of supplier performance and drives appropriate actions. · Performs and trains suppliers in various quality/delivery requirements (Achieving Excellence). · Supports suppliers on tooling, checking fixture and testing facility development.

Requirements |
Bachelor Degree in Engineering · Minimum experience of 5 years in production and 3 years in supplier quality/development in multinational manufacturing organizations. Automotive background a plus.
· Strong experience in supplier evaluation and supplier development · Excellent understanding of quality systems (QS9000/TS16949/ISO9000) root cause analysis, and preventive QE techniques (FMEA, Control Plans, flow diagrams, PPAP, QFD, DFM, DFA, SPC, metrology and gage R&R, GD&T). ISO9001 or QS9000 registered auditor/lead auditor preferred. · Good understanding of new product development process · Knowledge of design of tooling, fixture, and packaging · Knowledge of six sigma will be a plus · General understanding of ProE or other 3-D design tool · Good problem solving, communication, presentation, planning and organizational skills. · Excellent language skills in English and Chinese (written and verbal) and strong PC skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project Management |
