| Responsibilities |
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Application of scientific methods and principles to specific projects and technical challenges.
· Has knowledge of commonly used scientific analysis techniques and practices within the specialty
· Has a working knowledge of laboratory safety and hygiene practices
· Ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with manufacturing, engineering, marketing, and technology groups so that we can readily respond to market changes and/or customer demands.
· Perform scientific investigations involving experimental studies in support of current products and/or new product development; plans and organizes the development effort, researches, investigates, and proposes technical solutions for projects.
· Direct laboratory technicians during experiments, as well as perform experiments individually.
· Conduct analytical studies using sophisticated laboratory instruments.
· Prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations for new product formulations and procedures. |
| Requirements |
REQUIREMENTS:
· Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE and relational database.
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work well in a Team environment
· Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
· Ability to work with only general guidance from management
· Ability to lead teams and sub-teams toward over-all project objectives
· Demonstrated understanding of most new product development processes and work flow
· Working knowledge of most SBU product lines, detailed knowledge of several
· Understanding and support of multi-disciplinary development teams
· Basic knowledge in most technical areas, fluent in one.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Polymer (or Chemistry) Major or related major
· Silicone based resin investigation experience is a plus
· Senior Master’s Degree in a Scientific discipline, minimum
· Team management skill
· 5-8 years of experience |
